Reston, VA - Gary Watson, president of Gannett's newspaper
division, and Mark Silverman, president and publisher of The Detroit News, will
lead discussions at The Media Center's flagship online publishing strategies
seminar, Partnership for Online and Beyond: Strategic Thinking for a Multi-Platform
World, April 26-30 in Reston, Virginia.

Watson and Silverman join a lineup of discussion leaders representing some

Partnership for Online and Beyond is an intense, small-scale seminar that gathers
senior executives from both Web and traditional media operations to tackle the
challenges and opportunities of aligning online and offline news and information
strategies, workflow and operations. It is designed to boost cross-company teamwork
and sharing of the core knowledge and strategies required for building lasting
multi-platform news operations.

Participants will visit The Freedom Forum and the headquarters of America Online,
and spend a day at the media conglomerate of Gannett and USAToday/USAToday.com.

Online publishing expert and former LATimes.com editor Leah Gentry will prepare
