Pat Richardson
Publisher, Landmark Community Newspaper of Maryland

 

Pat Richardson is the publisher of the Carroll County Times, a 27,000 daily newspaper located in northwest Maryland. She is responsible for the overall performance of the Carroll County Times, Carroll County's daily newspaper of record; 3 weekly newspapers, 2 free rack niche publications, a direct mail coupon book, 12 real estate books in four states, and Carroll County Times online sites. In addition, she is a regional manager overseeing the Loudoun Easterner, a 65,000 free weekly newspaper, located in northern Virginia.

Prior to joining the Times, Ms. Richardson was the corporate advertising director for Landmark Community Newspapers, the Times' parent company, for three years.  She was responsible for the advertising & sales performance of 124 publications and 18 printing plants in 13 states.  During that time she also served as a regional manager for six Landmark newspapers.

She served in various sales management roles at The Virginian-Pilot, Landmark's flagship newspaper in Norfolk, Virginia, from 1989 through 2003. 

Ms. Richardson holds a B.S. degree in business administration from the University of Maine and an M.B.A. from the University of Louisville.  She has attended two API seminars, Advertising Executives in 1997 and Executive Development Program in 2008, and was a discussion leader at API’s Advertising Executives seminar in 1998.
