Roger Gillespie

Mr. Gillespie joined the Star in August 2007 and worked as an editor in the city department until taking over the training editor's post in June. Prior to joining the Star he worked at The Hamilton Spectator, where he held a number of roles including production editor, city editor, night managing editor and managing editor. In 2005 he was instrumental in launching a Knight Foundation Learning Newsroom project at The Spectator, a project described by publisher Dana Robbins as the 'best thing I ever did."

One of his key responsibilities at The Star is to help guide a similar exercise called Star Navigator.
