Reston, VA – Three chairmen, three CEOs, a president/publisher and an editor-in-chief from some of the most cutting-edge technology and media companies in the world will share their insights and lead discussions at The Media Center’s Emerging Technology, Business and Policy seminar for senior executives, to take place Feb. 8 to 10 in Palo Alto, Calif.

In addition to media and technology executives, participants will include investors, scholars and others in the media/technology vanguard, including:

* Chris Anderson, Editor-in-Chief, Wired magazine
* Caterina Fake, Co-Founder of Flickr
* Lauren Gelman, Associate Director, Stanford Law School Center for Internet and Society

The Emerging Technology, Business and Policy seminar focuses on business and social opportunities, risks, policies and strategies at the crossroads of media, technology and society.

It will be an intense and intimate gathering that takes a deep-dive look at market changes and issues. What trends and market disruptions are emerging that will change today’s economic models and alter the digital-media consumer experience? How can established companies look ahead and evaluate these developments – are they opportunities or threats? And how do new tools, services and policies reposition the business and social landscape? The seminar includes practical lessons in areas such as RSS syndication, tracking and ad splicing, corporate and PR blogging, search engine marketing and listings, uses for social networks and wikis.

Participation is limited to assure small-scale, face-to-face discussions and debate.
